Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) releases annual report via Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program. In May every year BLS releases aggregated information for the previous calendar year. The data presented here should match the Excel tables from OEWS Reports.

Start by:

  1. Search and select OCC codes
  2. Set number of categories

Trends: Nationwide

Employment over time (Label in Percent (%) change year-over-year)

Tabulated data by OCC groups selected above.

State-level data is derived from OEWS Research Estimates: https://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes_research_estimates.htm.

Disclaimer from the site: "The OEWS program provides wage and employment estimates by state and industry beginning with the May 2012 reference period. These estimates are intended for research purposes, and users should be aware of the limitations of the data."

NAICS categorizes the state-level data more higher level than the national-level. For example Hospitals (622000) category mainly overlaps with General Medical and Surgical Hospitals (622100).
